A born
Brahmin… his appearance as that of a king… people around him would shiver when
he passed by… Had such vast knowledge that his one head could not store all of
it so, this intelligent man had ten heads…
Why praise
him? He was the enemy… a villain… why consider him the greatest when he
committed such heinous crime… When Lord Rama killed the Ravana, he sent his
younger brother to get life lessons from Ravana… well when lord himself did not
consider him fool who we are to talk about him…
We human
beings having branded objects and latest gadgets thinking of ourselves as
smartest… but the reality is that we don’t even stand any comparison to him,
Ravana…
Why am I
praising Ravana, actually I am not… though we don’t stand anywhere near Ravana…
still we are similar to him… also to know Rama we must understand Ravana…
The
greatest devotee of Lord Shiva, had a city of Gold… he alone was enough to have
a debate, was such scholar what else was needed…
The problem
with Ravana, was he knew everything… but know nothing about himself…
In today’s
world we are not less than Ravana… we also know so many things… Ravana though
had limitation of then heads we don’t even have that…
Our other
heads are our “Apps and the Gadgets…” each has something to say… something to
make us feel… Even though we are interested or not aware they keep on poking us…
Its only
when we cut down these heads or either have control over them, we will realize
what actually irritates or frustrates us is not the world but our own thoughts
through these heads…
These heads
can be our activities which we keep on doing… unknown to us going to the same
place, doing the same thing, reacting in the same way and then regretting about
it, later on…
The only
reason why Ravana had everything but not Lord Rama… because he had the ego of
having everything…
No matter,
how many austerities we do… no matter how many donations we do… no matter how
many donations we do… till the time we have the felling or the sense of “I” we
will always be zero and never one. One with the Lord…
